i know since writers and actors are already striking thats gonna take up most of the news space on social media but like. ups has until july 31st to meet the teamster's demands and if not then theyre going on the biggest strike against a single corporation since the early 1900s. the uaw (auto manufacturers union) contract is up this fall, and i believe the alu (amazon labor union) is as well. there's a huge possibility that they might strike as well, depending on how long the ups strike lasts.

im seeing a lot of talk about hollywood going down but i want to see more talk about labor rights and working class solidarity across the board... like A Lot of shit is about to go down

we're about to see a lot more propaganda by more than just hollywood, we're about to see a lot of bullshit political moves on local, state, and federal levels. dont fall for it. workers have power.

one of the characters in harvest moon DS that u can marry is a mute woman who’s always asleep on the 255th floor of the mines. u literally have to make it to the 255th floor of the mines every time you want to see her or give her a gift. her favorite item (the only item she loves) is golden lumber which is the most expensive item in game. here’s a picture of her asleep in the mines (which are full of monsters btw) i dont understand anything about this tbh. complete respect to anyone who actually manages to marry her i don’t think i ever bothered to meet her once

"please buy crabs so that Tumblr doesn't have to implement changes we hate to become profitable" right, let me explain something about capitalism.

Tumblr didn't change course because they need the cash and are down on their luck. they did it because corporations want growth.

and that desire for growth is gonna be the same whether they have negative infinity money or positive infinity money. a corporation seeks money and growth.

if Tumblr suddenly became profitable after announcing these changes, it's not even that it would send the wrong message, although it would.

it's that Tumblr wouldn't be taking care of us better if only it weren't for the cruel realities of the world. it's a subsidiary of a corporation. it doesn't care.

it's still going to keep the changes that it thinks are profitable, and ignore changes it thinks won't be. Tumblr is not our friend, it is a website we use, and it wants to profit from us regardless of if that's in our best interest and regardless of if it has "enough" money. that is the relationship. don't get it twisted.

A laboul is this funny little segmented parasite that's always female, drinks insect blood through that little orange "head," mates with a small male she clones from herself, and launches babies cannon-like onto the exoskeletons of other insects.

But she's not even an animal!

I explain this in more detail at the end of the article but this also causes a “reverse” zombie outbreak, in that at least one species affects its hosts in such a way that they’re much less likely to fight each other. There generally aren’t parasites that spread by encouraging violence; it’s much easier to spread through peaceful socializing, and the less violence, the more hosts to go around! :)
